Judi Curtin- Bio

Judi Curtin was born in London to Irish parents. When she was eight, the family moved to Cork. She went to UCC, where she studied English and German. Next she went to St Patrick’s college in Drumcondra, to train as a national school teacher. She taught in Cork, Portlaoise and Limerick, taking a year out to do a diploma in Special Education.

Her first novel, Sorry, Walter was published by Tivoli in March 2003. This was swiftly followed by From Claire to Here, in January 2004. (It’s always nice to keep ‘the one you wrote earlier’ in reserve.)

She’s now working on a third, as yet untitled novel, and doing occasional substitute teaching, just so she won’t forget what the real world is like!

She has also written a children’s novel, which will be published by O’Brien Press in 2005.

She now lives in Limerick with her husband and three children.
